Šediváčkův long will be organized!
The Šediváčkův long 2014 will start despite the bad weather. As most people know, Europe has not had much snow this winter, and the forecast is constantly changing. We have prepared three different contingencies to make it successful.
1st – only snow -224 km (60, 67, 63, 34 – km)
Second – without snow as a dryland race, stages of 32 km, which can be shortened depending on conditions. Carts for teams, Skijorers can use trikes, scooters or canicross instead.
3rd – a combination of bothThe decision of the race course and length will be determined each day and based upon the weather. We believe that everyone will have a great time as well as it being a challenging and enjoyable event for everyone including handlers and helpers. In the evening we will have prepared lectures in Czech and English. Some of the topics include mushing in the USA and presented by a well known American race veterinarian, the Kazakhstan solar wheel and more. There will also be evening entertainment with music. We are continuing to hope for an improvement in the weather to make it the best race possible.
